Eligibility
The faculty member must:
- Be a current SPSP member.
- Primarily work with undergraduate students.
- Not have other funding sources available to pay for research assistants.
- Funding for research materials, travel, or participant compensation does not count as institutional stipend support.
The student must:
- Be an undergraduate student.
- Work in-person or over video conferences with participants or the faculty member, for a significant portion of the project.
- Not receive other compensation for this research work (e.g., salary or course credit). Zero-credit acknowledgment on the student’s transcript is permitted.
Required Materials
- Proposed Research plan, including:
- Research question(s) and goals
- Significance to personality and/or social psychology
- Research design, methodology, and planned analyses
- Proposed Timeline for completion of the research, including the number of student research assistant hours needed to complete the research (limit 250 characters).
- How this award will impact you (the faculty) and the student (limit 250 characters).
- How this research aligns with SPUR & SPSP’s goals (broadening participation, inclusion, and advancing the field) (limit 250 characters).
