Eligibility
- Applicants should have shown excellence in teaching and mentoring at an institution without a PhD program in social and/or personality psychology.
- This award is open to faculty who have been teaching and mentoring students full-time for five years since receiving their doctoral degree.
- Applicants may teach at either 2‑year or 4‑year institutions.
- Applicants (including self-nominees and nominated individuals) and nominators must be members of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology at the time they apply for the award.
Required Materials
- A summary or bulleted list (limit 500 words) highlighting mentoring excellence, such as mentored student projects, conference presentations, co‑authored publications, and the subsequent success of students and mentees.
- Up to three letters of support (including one required letter from a current or former student).
