Eligibility
- Must be a graduate student in personality and/or social psychology in good standing with their university. Applicants must be enrolled full-time (or working on their dissertation research for an equivalent of full-time enrollment, regardless of actual registration status).
- Research can be in any area of personality or social psychology.
- Applicants must be committed to advancing inclusion and broadening participation in personality and social psychology.
- Applicants cannot have previously won the Jenessa Shapiro Graduate Research Award.
Required Materials
- A description of the proposed research (maximum 2 pages, single‑spaced).
- One additional paragraph explaining how the awarded funds would be used.
- A current CV
- One or two sentences describing your commitment to inclusion and broadening participation in personality and social psychology.
- One letter of recommendation from the applicant’s academic advisor (maximum 1 page, single‑spaced). Please inform the person writing the letter of the importance of adhering to the maximum page limit. Only one letter will be forwarded for review, and the advisor will submit it online. The letter request will come from the email address <notifications@email.submittable.com>.
